Nestled in a picturesque valley beside the Macintyre River, Inverell is 489km South West of Brisbane and 675km North West of Sydney. You will find us on the Gwydir Highway, linking the busy New England and Newell Highways.
The National Transport Museum is a must see with over 200 vehicles on display, one of the biggest on the eastern seaboard.
Known as the Sapphire City
, the area produces fine gemstones and areas are set aside for fossicking. Nearby we have Copeton and Pindari Dams, great spots to spend a day or a week enjoying water activities or just relaxing. Large amounts of water are released from Copeton Dam during the summer months for irrigators down stream.
